Ao Nang is just a short and cheap bus journey from Krabbi so we left in glorious sunshine for the beach. Once again which always seems to be the case with Karen and i we managed to sort our accommodation in what felt like seconds. It was a nice little chalet away from the tourists and this allowed us to use Ao Nang as a base to go to our preferred location of Rai Lei beach. The 1st day we stayed we just had some nice food followed by a massage. Well, i say just but this was to be the third Thai massage i have had. The 1st two were great and they made me feel so alive but this one could only be described as brutal! she kept pushing me to my absolute limits but i think she new what she was doing as every time i was considering asking her to stop she would move onto another area. This experience has put me off massages a little but i think i will try some more as i loved the 1st two so much.

Day 2 we took a long tail boat to Rai Lei beach which was nice and spent the entire day sunbathing until once again the heavens opened and it started to poor with rain. When we got back we had a very nice (but expensive) Indian meal and wine and got a relatively early night as the next morning i had to get up early to leave to go to Koh Phang Ngan.

In the morning i said bye to Karen and left. It was quite sad as now i was no longer with any of the friends i had been traveling around with but i knew that i would be bumping into a lot of people at the party - including Lyd, Stuart & Tasha so i was not too disheartened.
