Phang Nga is a jumping off point to the surrounding area. It has amazing landscape which consists of really flat calm sea and huge cliff fronts that come out from nowhere that are hundreds of meters tall.

Karen and i came here partially because it was on the way but we also wanted to stay on the Muslim floating village.

We bought a package tour which sorted out all accommodation and travel so in 1 day we managed to see everything we needed to. This is extremely good as i am now in a bit of a rush to get over to Koh Phang-Nga where the party is on the 16th - 6 days to do everything is not enough! The floating village like everything is too touristy but after all the crowds go home you actually get to see how the locals live and it is really interesting. Part of the package was a boat trip to see all these weird and wonderful things so after staying the night in the floating Muslim village Karen and i went off to see loads of mediocre sights including James Bond Island. Now, i have seen all the James Bonds but I'm not what you would call a massive fan but i cant remember this island at all!!! It is weird though - it comes out of the sea and then expands in all directions so it is like wedge coming out of the sea - i cant imaginee how it has not crumbled by now! All the other sights are barely worth a mention and it reminds me why the package tours are usually not worth it!

Now we have done this part of Thailand we are off to Krabbi.
