It was an easy drive into Adelaide. We timed it so we had plenty of time before the game but didnt realise how rediculously easy it is to drive around Adelaide! We were 3 hours early!! AND forgot the 30 mins time difference so a mere 3.5 hours early!! So we had ample time for a hungry Jacks (burger king over here) and found a slot to park free for the game.

The game was AFL - Adelaide against Melbourne. unfortunatly, as we found out during the game this was the worst team in the league against the 3rd from worse. It was very entertaining and an absolute drumming! The bottom team got trounced by a score of something like 135-57 - not good for moralle!

Fabrice got a couple to explain all the rules to him , he just couldnt get it but I found it an exact cross between football and rugby Museum

. You cant throw the ball but you 'punt' it to each other, or kick it. To score a goal it has to go through 2 posts and eiother side there are 2 posts which make the goal bigger. Right through the centre gets you 6. Through the outside ones you get 1. there are millions of referees and they are really involved smashing the ball into the ground instead of a centre and lobbing it over their heads instead of a throwin! Crazy game but very enjoyable.

Then we drove South to the other side of the city to park. We pulled up in some rich neighbourhood. Walked into the centre for a Burrito from a very chatty local, a couple of schooners (crapy messures of beer) and then back to the van for bed - not before I took those crazy night photos of Adelaide.

In the morning we checked into a hostel for 1 night.Fabrice needed a proof of address to sort the Rego of the vehicle but this was no problem. We spent the day watching movies, I had many showers and a bit of shopping, it was nice to have a base for the day!

Yesterday, after a crappy nights sleep in the hostel (people coming in out, bags russtling etc) Fabrice had to sort out the Rego and get Vicky serviced So I went on a mamouth walk.I walked around the Botanical Gardens, walked along the riverside with the ducs for a couple of hours and then went to the South Australia Museum to learn about the depth of the ocean (apparently 3km on average Black Swan

Then I bought a suit bag to hold my cloths so they hopefully wont get too sandy in the outback, all the toiletries I could need and used the Free Internet in the county council while I waited for Fabrice.

We had some amazing Pho (Vietnamese noodles) and then I watched Traffic (its a film - im not that sad) untill Fabrice turned up with Vicky and a whole in his wallet consisting of about $1,000 all in! Nasty! Still she drives really nice now so it is not money wasted. Now we head to Kanagroo Island.
