Queenstown, the highlight of NZ in most peoples eyes and I can see why!
We turned up and as Ed had promised he bought us some bangers and Mash and a beer which was very nice. We then went to the DOC office and found out weather conditions for the Milford trek. Its going to be snowing! Freezing! Windy! Raining! and Icy! But its not going to stop us - were professionals!!
We loked around Queenstown - played far too much pool and watched the Champions League final replay (we cant do too much because of the weather) so we just drank from 2pm onwards. Drank too much beer for our stomachs but never felt drunk at all. We went back to the freezing cold van to sleep - it is pretty squashed with the 3 of us in there but at least it is warm enough.
Now we are heading off to Milford SOunds to do the treck - we will be back in Queenstown in a few days - if we survive the treck!! The woman was really, REALLY trying to convince us not to do it - but then again she says that it takes her 3 months to plan a treck - we will judge the conditions when we arive.
