Rotorua stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is from all the sulpher bubbling up to the surface all over the town.
En Route to Rotorua we stopped by a Kiwi factory o try and buy some Kiwis - they didnt sell any! They did however give us many free shots of Kiwi wine and many Kiwi Liqures - we walked (or stumbled) out realising someone needed to drive! We ate and then Edd felt ready and we drove off to Rotorua picking up some Kiwis on the way.
When we arived the heavens opened - the rain was crazy and lasted at least 40 hours! Everything was soaked but we did have the hostels lounge and kitchen to hang out in so it wasnt all bad
The main reason behind coming here was to do the Luge. Eventually, the rain stopped and we got a few hours to enjoy the luge. For $28 we got 5 rides down a massive massive hill and we built up amazing speeds - it was very dangerous and I managed to come off mine at break neck speed much to everyones amusement! I was trying to get past Edd on a bad bad courner - it wasnt possible as I found out but I jumped back in and made it to the bottom in one piece. The Luge is SO great and we all had such a good time. We then hopped back in the spaceship and couldnt go anywhere (other than walk to burger king). The battery gave in AGAIN and for the 3rd time now we are going to have to jumpstart it!
Now we are heading off past lake Taupo to Turangi to do some trecking for a day - I cant wait!

Dean asleep - AGAIN!
. We played much pool in the hostel, met many people from Holland and Canada (the Dutch were absolutly crazy! They must have been swingers - very strange couple) We all played drinking games with Gin and Whisky and then hit the town. On the way 3 of the guys went through the swamps as a shortcut but I turned back - I wasnt interested. I fell asleep on the sofa waiting the others to come back. Found Edd asleep in the tent, the other 2 turned up late and then I could actually get some sleep - it is painfully cold here, the rain is horrible and im not really enjoying conversation with the locals. The main reason behind coming here was to do the Luge.
