The train was relitevily on time and I slept like  baby.

There was a choice of 3 trains. An expensive, direct number which went evey other day. The train I got which went every other day the 1st class one didnt and then the ´Death Train´. So called because people used to buy loads of stuff in Bolivia, transport it to Brazil to sell but here was not much space and hey would sit on top - every time the train de-railled which was fairly frequently people tended to die!

I got the medium quality one, would have got the death train but I arived too late in the day to get it and it would have efectivly taken 2 extra days to get to Santa Cruz.

They should have named my train ´The Mosquito Train´! there were hundreds, the aircon was good but when it stopped they all came out of the woodwork and attaked people. I wrapped up in loads of clothes and I think I miraculously didnt get bitten at all! I watched a bad old Chinese film and most of King Kong before I slept and woke up as we arived in the station.

There was a erman couple i front of me causing all kind of problems with seatin as they wanted to sit together - they got into a big shouting match and lost - deservedly so. That ws abou the highlight of the journey!

Now, in Santa Cruz, which is seriously hot (as it has been for over  week for me now), I booked my bus ticket for tonight to La Paz at 5pm, left my bag at the bus station, got some breakfast and now am using the internet. Im going to have a look around for a couple of hours and then hop back on the bus for another sleepless sleep!

Im moving quick as I have  number of things stil left to do before I leave South America -I only have 36 days left here and 40 days worth of stuff I want to do - im going to move quick now so I can savour my last couple of weeks in Argentina and Chile.

Bolivia is cheap - really cheap. I bought my bus ticket (16 hours), breakfast, combi ride, internet, lost 2 Bolivianos down a drain and bought a juice for less than one nights accomodation in Brazil!

Nice town but nothing to do here so im glad im getting outof here pronto.

I stubbet my usual toe so that was a bloody mess and watched a grandmaster play chess in the Plaza - he really was amazing.

Then i tried unsuccesfully to walk to the bus station, hopped n a combi, saw the 1st half of England/France in the footballa dn then got on my bus.
