Latacunga is the start of the Quilotoa loop. It is 2 hours south of Quito and the loop is basically a good chance to see a lot of local towns, villages and bask in the culture of Equidor.
Once in Latacunga we dumped our bags in a GH. Went to the market where I ate a nice meal for $1, drank the sweetest coffee in the world, drank the sweetest grass/blackberry drink in the world and then have been on a sugar rush ever since! They love a bit of volley ball here and it is a nice little town but we are off to the next place immediatly - Pujili as we only have a short while to complete the loop. We will be coming back again once the loop is finished to pick up our bags.
