Bucaramanga wasnt the planned stop, we wanted to get through to San Gill but 1 we shouldnt travel at night in dodgy Colombia and 2 - all the busses are rediculously late due to trafic and conditions of the roads!
After 10 hours we had both had enough and rather than get the additional 2.5 hour bus we got a remarkably cheap taxi to a very dodgy area of town to sleep. Sarah got us a room but it was really not very safe out. We stayed in a room that was probably chargable per hour and ate next door.
BUT it wasnt all bad - the food was great - steak, chips, plantain, yuka and salad.
The room was really chep and comfortable and we saw no trouble and we actually really enjoyed our brief stay in Bucaramanga.

Yo Levs - i saw your picture on facebook the other day, was it a serious one? - lying on the floor can of beer in hand or was it a hoax for the love of facebook???
The tour guy was crazy, he would be at the front of the boat, see a snake and just jump into the water after it! Steve Irwinesque! That particular snake was a snake eater, it eats poisonous snakes by crushing them then devourin... show all

Alright Stu,
Wow - looks like it's been awesome. My favourite so far has been the pictures of sunset/rise, the waterfalls and the various animals in los llanos, although there's no way I would have got near half of them. That yellow snake just looked dangerous!
Glad to see all is going well with the lovely Sarah - you look happy!
How are you coping with the water? I saw ... show all
