Today was a very interesting day.

I met Michelle and we got on the bus to Ramallah. It only takes 30 mins but right at the end you pass through 'the wall'. For those that dont know It is a security fence that passes through Israel - roughly along the lines of the suposed border between the westbank and Israel. It is a horrible contraption and no one seems to be happy about it but I was reading the Israeli gov says problems has reduced by 80% since its creation. It is usually about 20Ft tall, has a load of barbed wire on top and grafiti all along the sides - it is like a fortress surrounding Palastinion areas. And understandably they are not so happy about it!

Rammalah its self wasnt a fantastic place to visit. It was very much like crossing a border into Jordan as the majority of people living in Jordan are Palastinion. The food is a bit nicer, the people are more outwardly friendly and everything is a lot cheaper. Also there is rubbish everywhere, a bit more hastle and no personal space - 2 very different areas.

We had a look at Yasa Arrafat's grave which was manned by two gards with very big guns and then we headed off to Nablus.
