When we finally got onto the boat it took about 1,5 hours before getting to Gili Trawangan. The only transportation on the island is bikes or horse and kart so when we got off the boat we took a horse and kart to the resort which only took a few minutes.

After checking in we checked out the room which was just lovely. The outdoor bathroom was just fab! Then we headed for the hotels swimming pool. We then found out that everywhere on the island has salt water only the showers have a pot of freshwater to rinse with but besides that showers, pools and off course the sea was salt.

That evening we walked around the main street of the island and had dinner at Scallywags one of the restaurants which had pretty lights all around the edge and right by the sea. Enjoyed a few drinks and went back to the room.

Next day we rented bikes and rode around the island which was great at most parts the unpaved parts not so easy. Riding in loose sands is the equivalent to walking with your bike and in the burning heat that is pretty hard work. Half way round the island we stopped for a drink and took some amazing pictures. We made our way back to our bit of the island again we stopped once more for a swim in sea and then back to the hotel to swim in the pool.

In the evening we brought back the bikes and arranged for a snokkeling tour the next day. After dinner we extended our stay for one more night at reception. We then booked our accommodation for our last stay on Bali, Ubud and then went to bed.

We went to the meeting place and there were about 25 people on the trip. They took us to 3 different places on a glass bottom boat. At the first stop we had about half an hour to snorkel and we saw loads, the coral is so pretty there like anywhere I'd ever seen before. We even saw turtles in the water. At the second stop one of the guides came with the group and showed us some of the best places. We saw so many fish even a lion fish. We had one more stop and then went for lunch on Gili Air one of the other islands.

We got back in the afternoon and relaxed for the rest of the day. That night we had a lovely last meal on Gili and a good night sleep before heading back to Bali.
