Well that little sprinkle we had yesterday afternoon turned into a real storm that last night, It was still going this morning which means breaking camp -- in the rain.  The RV stays dry but the staff gets soaked.

So we head out into the rain looking for Louisville, KY.  We work our way through the traffic in Gatlinburg then when we get to Pigeon Forge -- the rain turned to buckets and the traffic slowed to a crawl.  It took us about an hour in the Pigeon Jam to get through Pigeon Forge - we figured that everyone was checking out of their hotels and hitting the road.

As we got to I-40 headed for Knoxville the traffic got lighter but the rain kept going.  We got delayed so much that we stopped for lunch a few miles north of Knoxville - and the rain was coming down harder than ever.  It was  kind of like a multi-state car wash.

We had a slow lunch at the Cracker barrel  -- by the time we finished the rain was down to intermittent.  The weather didn't clear until we were well into Kentucky.

Our RV park is just over the boarder from Louisville, KY in Clarksville, IN. Tomorrow we plan to visit the Kentucky Derby Museum and tour Churchill Downs.
