We had our breakfast and sat around contemplating doing the walk to the lake, it was only a half an our but our legs were so sore from the day before it was tough just climbing the 3 steps into the bus!! We gave in and did it, we didn't want to miss out on anything. It's supose to be a lake with an amazing reflection of the mountains in it. Wasn't a great day for the reflection though. We stopped for a picnic lunch, got bit up by sandflies.
Made it to Wanaka early enough to go down to the lake for a bit. The water was like ice, but it didn't seem to bother the guys! It was time to get ready for another big night out and to celebrate Emma's B-day. We all went over to the Red Rock bar across the street and they had a bbq for us. They organized a bunch of drinking games where prizes could be won. Tom participated in all of them! One was who could do the most push ups, another was a game of twister, the toughest was climbing around and under a table with out touching the floor.. but the most memorable was the chug a jug contest... a Canadian girl joined all the games as well and she got a close second to Tom on this one.. he was the winner, downing his jug first, and then puked bag into it!! Oh man it was the sickest thing, Dan got it all on video and we've watched it a couple of times, Katie gags everytime she sees it. He was quite proud of his accomplishment, and won a bag and a hat, but ended up losing it by the end of the night anyway! It was a strange night, I talked to a local guy for quite some time, and he told me he met someone else earlier that he likes more, uh ok, thanks for telling me! Idiot. Emma got really drunk and mad and wanted to leave, so Katie and to lie to her and get everyone else to lie to her and say there was no where else to go. The night ended with Emma yelling at Katie and both of us in tears over stupid reasons which we blame on the brand of beer Export Gold which we both are never drinking again but switching to Tui's or liquor! Everything and everybody was all good in the morning and all was back to normal!
