Parati is a pretty colonial port located about 4 hours south of Rio. It serves as an access point for lots of beautiful islands in the surrounding marine park.

So we were now scamming a lift with this new tour, and got to know the 6 new people on the tour: Anna, Babs, Eddie, Iwan, Chris and John.

The first night we went and found the towns tutti fruitti stalls and had a few caipafruttas. We had been warned that these were the most potent caipafruttas in all of Brasil, but we still got totally wasted (they taste like fruit milkshakes, so itīs easy to do)!

It wasnīt until the following day when we went on a boat trip snorkelling, swimming and sunbathing that some people started to feels the effects. The swaying motions of the boat were just too much for both Eddie and Anna, who vomited, whilst Bianca refused to ea anyhitng and just lay down for most of the trip! Kerry and I just kept drinking, which seemed to do the trick! the boat ride itself was great fun despite the vomiting, and the islands dotted about everywhere were beautiful.

The following day we just looked around the town and chilled. That evening only Tom and I made it down to the potent caipafrutta stalls!

On the third day, the Encounter trip left, but Kerry and I stayed and extra night in the hope of catching some rays. Unfortunateyl it was cloudy, but we still perservered and spent the day on the beach despite the cold! Brr!
