Here is more information about some destinations that are worth looking into. Reservations
are recommended for most restaurants.
*Alcatraz A.D.: The phone number is(03)3571-3799
Open 6pm-5am Mon-Sat, 6pm-12am Sunday, $10 cover charge. This restaurant/bar has a very
cool prison theme going on (who would have guessed?) . There is also
a location in Roppongi under the name Alcatraz B.C. (2F Elsa Building, 3-13-12 Roppongi
Minato-ku, the phone number is (03)5410-0012, same hours of operation and charge but check the address, many of the addresses I found online turned out to be wrong. Just go to the source) and
one called Alcatraz Asia at 8-12 Higashi-cho, Hachioji-shi, that number is (04)2642-5316
official website is http://www.eyoru.com/ginza/alcatraz/ but it's in Japanese, so ganbatte!
*Buttu Trick-Bar: Located at 7F Book First, 33-5 Udagawa-cho, Shibuya-ku, their number is
(03)3477-2208. Open 5pm-4am (5pm-11pm Monday). It's got a very cool Asian theme, with a
giant Buddha in the center of the restaurant and very cool old-fashioned Japanese decor.
There is another location at 3F Daini Towa Kaikan 1-21-1 Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, their
number is (03)5292-2206. Open 5pm-4am Mon-Sat, 5pm-11am Sunday. The website is in
Japanese, and is tricky to navigate, but it's www.ug-gu.co.jp, if you know kanji you can
make a reservation on-line.
*Ninja-Akasaka Tokyo: A ninja themed restaurant located in Akasaka Tokyu Plaza 1F, 2-14-3
Nagata-cho, Chiyodaku Tokyo
all come together to make a mysteriously satisfying meal. The phone number is (03)5157-3936.
It's a 1 minute walk from Akasaka Mitsuke Station Marunouchi Line and Ginza Line Tokyo
Metro. It's a little hidden...
*Alice in Wonderland Cafe: A theme restaurant (guess which theme!) where the waitresses
dress like Alice, the menu is a bunch of cute playing cards, and the dessert Cheshire cat
will defiantly have you smiling. Open Mon-Thurs 5pm-1am, Fri-Sun and holidays the
place is open a little later. Located at 5F Taiyo Building, 8-8-5 Ginza, Chuo-ku,
Tokyo 104-0061. No official website that I could find, but carmenyuen.com and
notquitenigella.com have some good information and pictures.
Getting there: Take JR line to Shinbashi Station, Ginza exit, turn left when you see the post office (Chuo Dori, Dori means avenue), it's right after the Ginza 9 complex. Look for the sign on the outside of the Taiyo Building, it's in Japanese but there's a blue heart.

. Budget about $60 a head (food and drinks), we wound up spending about $130 and we were ordering whatever we wanted. Sneaky ninja waiters, edible banzai trees, and secret passageways all come together to make a mysteriously satisfying meal. The phone number is (03)5157-3936.
