Where I stayed
First I have to deliver my girlfriend to work (someone have to work, to let other enjoy free time - its a destiny). The I bought camera bag and memory card and slip out of Prague to the north. There is small but nice city "Roztoky u Prahy", by raiding my horse (Peugeot 206) it takes just about 30 minutes and I get to first stop - nice small church on hill above city. Its really wonderful scenery what you can see if weather and sky is like today was. Than I travel far more to the north (I missed where I want to go but anyway) I get to "Uholicky" and to small village "Podmorany" - place with wonderful rock hills (as you can see on photos). From the hills above you can see beautiful valley of Vltava river and enjoy calm and peace of forest instead of Prague city rush
Next stop was bellow "Okor" ruins - . It is one of the most famous ruins in Bohemia, and from stones which rest you can only imagine how great castle it could have been long long time ago. But its another Fairytale.
From "Okor" i stop just to make photo of village chapel in "Male Cicovice" and on my horse back i get to another famous place - "Nelahozeves" - place where was born composer Dvorak. I could not stay for sight-seeing, cause i have meeting with one my colleague back in Prague so i just make short look-over, make dozen of photos and go to last stop - Chateau Velvary.
It was completely damaged during floods in year 2002 so I was really happy that it was at least open to walk around. In park are damages slightly visible, but chateau is still closed and just repaired from outer side. I believe that same disaster will not happen in next thoused years.
In chateau park is one really interesting building - God and historcial guzs know what it was used for, but its nice and i decide to have a photo og that, so I have to cross park (walking of course :) ), make some photos and get back to car and then... home sweet home, Prague sweet Prague.
If you want to see some nice places around Prague, I recommend you this this short tour.
