It was one final stop in Christchurch for wines, t-shirts, and other souvenirs then on to the airport. With time to spare we patiently waited for our flight out of Christchurch. After few intense games of Farkle it was time to load the plane. With one last glimpse out of the plane window of the South Island came a tiny tear. After landing in Auckland we made a mad dash for the International terminal, a ten minute hike across the airport with only ten minutes remaining to catch our next flight. Passing through the check point we arrived at the boarding gate in a frenzy only to realize that the boarding had been delayed. With a possible celebrity sighting of Mr. Peterman (Seinfeld) we settled into our seats for the twelve hour flight with a goal of finishing the Lord of the Ring trilogy for few and others to watch; Into the Wild, Transformers, or 3:10 to Yuma for others. Arriving in Los Angeles before we even left Christchurch, New Zealand was an interesting phenomenon. Soon we were back to 0 degree weather while having a beautiful tan or for a few unlucky ones a beautiful burn.
