STA Travel's attitude to it's customers is disgusting and I have never received a lower level of service from any organisation. Ever. They pride themselves on providing a personal service to each individual customer. Now I have experienced their service firsthand I can say that this is not just an understatement. It's a lie. STA Travel will go out of their way not to help you and to not even deal with your query or problem. If you look on their website, you'll see a lot of jargon about them "doing their best". If their best is responding to urgent email enquiries with automated responses, taking over 48 hours for a human being to get back to you with one line telling you they can't do anything for you, an emergency contact number for travellers abroad that is barred from to callers from outside of the UK, two departments that will not contact each other to assist your query as "they don't deal with that" and telling customers that they cannot look after each individual booking, let me tell you STA Travel: It is not good enough.
A STA Travel employee lied to us as we sat in their Covent Garden Office about to hand over £2000 and promised us a service that did not exist in order to secure our business and obtain his commission. When we tried to resolve the issue we tried to deal with it without laying blame at anyone's door as we were afraid of losing even more of our hard earned and hard saved money. We were met with closed doors and no-can-do's.
I hope this is not just a rant into the abyss but that anyone who Google searches "STA Travel Customer Service Global Travel Help" will see this and hear our message loud and clear: STA Travel is a sham. Do not use them.
