Where I stayed
Another dodgy motel.

Murray spotted a very long, red hair attached to my back as I awoke this morning.  Very reassuring.  We got underway and pushed on to finally catch up with the other team At El Rosario.  At the moment we're having some heavy driving days to cover some ground, but hopefully pretty soon we can stop for longer periods and actually see Mexico.

We arrived as the sun is setting, and it casts a warm glow over the gravestones and tombs in an overgrown cemertary we stumble upon.  It's a surreal place, and the remnants of the day of the dead celebrations are clearly seen around the stones.  Burnt grass signifies some kind of bonfire, and you can see evidence of the customs we will hopefully emerse ourselves in this coming Halloween.

The slightly odd and very humourous exception is the ghostbusters logo overlooking the graveyard.

Eventually we catch sight of the other team, and after high fives and hugs, we make our way to another roadside eatery, before dutifully getting drunk at yet another motel.  I have been becoming more aware of the heat here, and it really it hotter and more humid than anything I've been used to.  With heat, comes crawling things.  And biting things.  And there are a lot of them.  I nearly walk into a brightly coloured spider as I'm unloading my bag.  I'm politely informed that "this is nothing", which does little to reassure my already nervous disposition.  I sleep with one eye open.
