I've spent the past three days hanging in Aleppo... I'd heard good things about it, so my expectations were high and I was excited to get here... but when I arrived it seemed somewhat "flat." I enjoyed Damascus soooo much more. But it is growing on me now that I've been here a few days.
I've been thinking about going to Lebanon, my mind changing back and forth, but it just doesn't seem like the right choice to go. I will save it for another time when things are better there.
In any case, tomorrow I'm off to TURKEY!!! This is a place I've heard from many people which is supposed to be really great! So, we'll see! I spent until 2:30am last night doing some initial planning so I don't miss out on anything - it's such a huge country that you can't afford to do too much backtracking.
The Syrians have been so great and so generous. As I've mentioned, it's really a shame that there is such a misconception about them in the west. Anhow, I will leave here with some good memories and photos!
