For the 2.5 months I spent in Aus I was convinced travelling alone was the best option as it gave me the ultimate freedom, could do what I want when I wanted without having to consider everyone else, it boosted my confidence and independence and forced me to make new friends almost every single day. I was never ever lonely and always had someone to talk and party with.

Then I met up with Gman and the banter flowed. We were in constant states of laughter and having the sort of conversations you just can't have with randoms. We could talk about things that you couldn't talk about with a newly found friend. I've massively enjoyed the past couple weeks, the fun and shared experiences we've had have been incredible and there's lots of things we've done and situations we've gotten into that we probably wouldn't have bothered with if we'd been alone.

At the same time it makes both of us less independent, we rely on each other too much as there's no reason for any one person to take control and sort everything out like you have to when your travelling alone. It also makes us too laid back and we've been close to missing flights, getting bookings wrong, forgetting to do important things and making stupid decisions as neither one of us has thought things through and assumed the other person will have thought of it. Alone you tend to think things through a bit more because if you fuck up its your responsibility.

Glad we are travelling together as I think I'd find asia a bit daunting alone, Aus was too easy in comparison, far far too easy!
