The bus from Rio was really comfortable, though since it was 24 hours, you can imagine it was LONG. Arriving at the bus station, I took a taxi with some other brits to another bus station then took a bus to Hostel Bambu. This hostel was recommended by many - and has been voted best Hostel in Brazil (with very good reason!!) It's very clean, got air conditionning, fast and cheap internet, kitchen, pool, bar, gym equipment.. it's simply amazing!
I was starving so ate at the cafe of a supermarket - again it was by weight. I ate 600g for 3 quid.. not bad!! The food was interesting, I tried all sorts of stuff, found out later that one of them was chicken hearts! mmmmm tasty!
I took a bus to the falls and did the brazillian side. Going to the argentina side tomorrow, apparently its better!
For dinner, I ate with these two that stayed in the Rio Hostel too, though they took a plane here instead. They cooked what they called 'bush tucker' as it was something they cooked in the amazon... It was cheap and delicious so that's definitely a dish I'll have to bring out in the future!
