Culture Shock:

Felt really sad that we were leaving Argentina. no more fillet steaks... how will we survive.
Crossed the border to Bolivia after a 4 hour wait in the blistering heat, to be fair it was the Argentinian border control that was really slow.

Walked over to the Bolivian town of Villazon, culture shock is not the word.... people everywhere, smelly, street markets everywhere, people just walk into you.

Then our first Bolivian toilet experience.... i was intelligent enough to eat lunch in the Argentinian side of the border, but poor Stephen was starving and had to try and swallow Bolivian chicken and chips, then the toilet, so stinky, poo and urine everywhere on the floor, toilet paper non existent.... we just had to take a deep breath and hope for the best....

Decided we needed to get the hell out of this crazy border town, got a bus to Tupiza, bus station was hell... people carrying babies, counterfeit goods, huge bags of rice, everything but the kitchen sink basically, beggars on the bus (but they try and sing for money instead of just begging.... torture)

Finally made it to Tupiza, the city where they made Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid...we felt like real cowboys, really cool scenery like the Wild West at 3000metres... checked into our 10 euro hotel for 2 nights to get ready for our 3 night, 4 day  circuit of the Southwest of Bolivia through the desert and the salt lakes.
