It's been three boozy nights in a row now. They all felt like Saturday nights. I guess they all do when you don't have to go to work the next day. I easily loose track of what day it is, Tuesday I think. Uli and I spent the days in low key Playa Brasilito, chilling on the shell covered beach (Playa Conchal) and in a karaoke bar mostly frequented by locals. As well as in the more resort like Playa Tamarindo, with all it's American package tourists, backpackers, surfers and expats. We heard some terrible karaoke, and I almost grabbed the microphone while requesting "Great Balls of Fire". It cannot get much worse I thought, but I chickend out in the end. One more Cuba Libre would have done it though.

Hungover on the beach the next day. Next to me (well 15 meters away), I can swear that the twin sister of Tiger Woods Swedish wife is sunbathing. I so wish I had my sand wedge now, or at least my 7 iron, instead of that stupid green snorkel. This trip has built my confidence when it comes to talking to strangers. But now, when I most needed it, I was out of clever things to say. It took me close to an hour to think of something ridiculous to ask her, and her equally pretty girlfriend. I felt like Dudley Moore without the funny comments, and here in front of me was the girl who probably invented the 10 in the famous scale. It wasn't Bo Derek, but this very Swedish blonde.

"Can you watch my backpack while I go for a swim?", says the young Esteve.

"Why didn't you ask the guys next to you, instead of walking over here?", says the beautiful Swedish twin sister.

"Por que, ehh, hmm. Are you Swedish? I mean, I am Norwegian and you kind of look Swedish. I used to live in Stockholm by the way, very cool city.", says the well formulated and clear thinking Esteve.

"Yes we are from Lund in Sweden. Do you want to come for a few drinks with us tonight", says the beautiful Swedish twin sister.

Hold you horses there Esteve boy, you are good at inventing stories but this lie is taking it to far. She didn't actually say the above, but they were from Lund in Sweden, so I was right. And I am almost certain that the only thing on her mind was to ask me out for drinks, she was just lacking the same confidence I built during this trip.

"See you tonight", says the young confident Esteve, while "Dream on" by Aerosmith is slowly fading in the background.
