Mon 13th - Tues 14th Nov.
After Franz Joseph, it was a long journey up the west coast to Nelson. We broke it up with brief stops in "Shantytown" (a replica gold mining town), the pancake rocks and Buller Gorge. Then, when we got to Nelson we couldn´t find any hostel accomodation, so we pulled into a motel parking lot, knocked back a couple of beers in the car to induce sleep and got a wake up call by a cop the next morning...
