Whale Watchin´!!

Thurs 16th - Fri 17th Nov.
Went to Kaikoura on the east coast of the South Island and took a whale watching trip. Saw a couple of whales alright. Every hour they surface for a few minutes. All you can see is their hump protruding on the surface of the water, and their tail as they dive, so I´m not sure the trip is worth the money. Sea conditions weren´t great for us to say the least (2.5m to 3m swells!) and the trip nearly didn´t go ahead. It meant turning back for land early and therefore a partial refund, so that was good. And a rollercoaster boat ride on the way back!!
