Arrived in Auckland, NZ at 4:30 AM on the 17th. Took a flight out to Christchurch arriving around 7:30am. Our rental car was waiting and we checked into a very nice 2 bedroom apartment at a campground. Full kitchen and bath all for the grand total of $59.00 per night!! Spent much of the day grocery shopping and learning to get around driving on the left side of the road!! Toured Christchurch the next day. Have uploaded pictures of this lovely city. On day three we took a trip to the coastal town of Akaro and have uploaded picutres of this area also. Did a little hiking up in the hills around the town. On day three we took a day trip to Arthur's Pass National park about 90 miles inland. A beautiful mountain area. Check out the pictures of the waterfalls and the glacier.
