DC was getting very cold, we did a quick 1.5 hour tour of some of the major attractions that are within a 2 mile radius of were we parked the drive away car, then headed down to Florida.
The route down was pretty boring and uneventful, 3 motels, 1100 miles.
Stopped in Savannah for a mose around. The first English settlement I think.
Dropped the car off with a rich old couple in Naples then got the Greyhound over to Miami.
The bus driver at Miami must have took pity on us and let us on for free, the bus ride was about an hour down to Florida city. We stayed at the same place Richard and Sue did, the Everglades Hostel.
When the bus driver pulled up to the hostel, he let us know where the nearest motel was in case this place was too 'earthy'.
We think the people who run it are some old hippies, wind chimes, dream catchers, a gazebo in the garden with bongos and guitars and didgerydoos.
Its the best place we have stayed at so far, free Internet, we caught up on the washing and met quite a few people.
Plenty of Aligators down at the Everglades park, you can just pull up to a pond and there are alligators knocking around about the edge of it.
Were gonna head up to Clearwater later this week on Darrens advice, also hopefully the next driveaway will be near there at Ft Myers.

More later.
