Washington quick stop

Just a quick note, we stopped at Washington in some hole of a place with a load of students in a dorm, rented a car the next day and got the hell out of Washington.
Didn't have much of a plan where we were going, the storms in Buffalo (2 foot of snow, blackouts for four states etc), meant we had to cancel the Niagara falls part of the trip, no dinner at Barbaras, and extra time to find something to do.
We set out down to Virginia on route 66 with no real plan.
