Where I stayed
Not a whole lot to udate, but since Steve has written most of these to you I thought I'd take my turn!
Dahab has turned out to be as relaxing and wonderful as we had heard from every source imaginable. It barely feels like we are in Egypt except for the constant calls from merchant to come see their shops.
Yesterday we relaxed on the beach and got our clothes laundered. It was great to have really clean clothes. There is only so much I can do with a packet of woollite in a bathroom sink. Unfortunately a couple items came back with mysterious greasy stains so the launderyman took them back to try to get it out. We are not very optimistic, but we're getting better at haggling so we should be able to come to a fair compensation.
Its very windy here today. We had to abandon the beach to sit by the pool. Yesterday was very still and we went out on a glass-bottom boat. It was amazing. The water was so blue, truly the colour of my bathroom walls. We saw beautiful coral reefs with fire, sponge, and brain types of coral growing. The brain one really looked like an enormous brain! We saw picaso fish, sea bass, small blue tuna, angel fish, clown fish and many more we couldn't name. Just as we were leaving the area Steve saw something huge in the water. He thinks it may have been a stingray. Unfornately they didn't stop the boat to investigate. Our tour time was up...
I got a henna tatoo on my feet today, hopefully it will still be visible by the time we get home, but incase it has faded away heres a pic.
We leave for Cairo tomorrow which is very sad as it's our last egyptian stop.
Talk to you soon. We love ya and hope all is well at home.
