Where I stayed
. We were in quite a pickle.
So, we did a bunch of computer work and decided to walk over to the harbor so that we didn't get lost and miss our boat the next morning and to figure out how long it would take us. On the way we picked up some groceries as well. It sucked because we had maybe 3 hours of sleep the previous night and our bodies are feeling extremely fatigued from all of the physical activity that we have done in the past week. The walk was 5KM each way so it took us roughly 2 hours in our tired state.
Our host was at home when we returned so we did all of our laundry (no dryer so we had to hand up our clothes and dry them with a fan....a few hours later they were dry lol) and got packed and ready to go for the next day. This doesn't sound like much, but we woke up pretty early and didn't get to bed until 11 pm.
The next morning we were to wake up at 5 am and walk for an hour to the harbor and hopefully enjoy our 10 hour ride to Stockholm, Sweden.
Our time spent in Turku was short and went by very fast. After a poor nights sleep, Steve and I decided that we needed to have a day to relax. But it turned out that this day wasn't very relaxing at all. We had to catch up on a whole lot of stuff because we weren't being very organized at all. I had to upload a bunch of pictures, resize them, write and post blogs, do banking ect ect. We also needed to buy tickets to the Ferry we were taking over to Stockholm the next day and figure out how to get to the harbor AND what we were going to do once we got off. We hadn't even messaged anyone in Sweden to host us. So we had to get on top of all of that. We messaged a bunch of people, but didn't expect anyone to respond with such short notice. So we also looked into booking a hostel. On top of all that, we found out that Sweden doesn't use the Euro, we had no groceries, needed to do all of our laundry and didn't know how to walk to harbor. Our host had left us at his apartment to go swimming so we couldn't do our laundry until he was back (we needed his key to get to his apartments laundry mat and Turku didn't have any public laundry facilities) and if we left we wouldn't be able to get back in until he returned
