We arrive in Phon Thong about 04:00 having slept most of the way.  It is still dark as we get a tuk-tuk across town to the 7/11 for bread, milk and a couple of coffees to wake ourselves up.  We loiter here for a while not wanting to wake the people at whose house we had left the bike.  Before 05:00 I can wait no more and go round the back of the house and help myself to the bike without disturbing anyone.  We load up and ride back back to Khamnadie still in almost complete darkness. The house was not too bad although we have only been gone for one week.  Jai gives things a quick clean whilst I unpack our bags then an hour on the bed before breakfast. The garden looks OK so brother Pad has obviously been doing the watering as promised.A decision is made quite early on that today would be a good day to get the thresher out to the farm and finish the rice.  This means a frantic hour or so getting things organised.  I take Jai out to the farm where a few people are starting to gather.  They have to be fed and watered before they work so I leave them to it knowing it will be ages before the rice thresher starts up.I bike over to Pak Chong and John's for our usual Sunday morning get together.  George's wife Wan has been into hospital a few times this week not very well at all so George has to miss out on his beer again.  They have started work on John's small house although as we sit watching them erect the tree columns it would appear that at the rate they are working John will have left by the time the place is finished.I leave John and bike out to the farm where they have just started the threshing.  I stay for a while until all of the rice has been through and is bagged.  They now have to eat and drink again so I return to the house.Jai comes back
