Wake up to find that Father Christmas had visited in the night and brought me a pair of shorts. Strangely he hadnt brought Jai anything and she seems to think that this is my fault ?! I go to the internet this morning and then meet up with Jai at Wararot market. Intending for her to find something for a Xmas present we visit a number of shoe shops and clothes shops but she cant find anything she likes so we return empty handed. We stop on the way back for our last street lunch in Chiangmai then back to Kong Court. Early afternoon we go to Sugar Bar but I leave Jai there and walk along the road to the Old Boar where I find Dave and another American Marcus propping up the bar and join them for an hour or so. When we gat back to Sugar Bar we find that the girls have been working in the br kitchen and have prepared huge bowls of duck noodles which we have to eat over the rest of the day. Not exactly turkey but duck is quite close ... as to the noodles, well, I'd have prefered a traditional Xmas dinner but ... Head back to KOng Court in the evening for a shower and change and then back to the bar to meet one of Jai's old friends. Gin lives about 15km outside of town and phoned to say that she would be late due to her bike getting a puncture en-route. Eventually turns up at 9pm and ferries us one at a time to a small bar in the backstreets owned by an English guy. We have been here before with her and I dont really like it but for an hour or so ... Stop off at Sugar Bar for a rest and a beer on our way back to the guest house and surprisingly they actually have a few customers.
