What I did

Okay, this will be the shortest entry of the entire trip.  Steve woke up this morning feeling sick to his stomach and exhausted.  We are reasonably certain the culprit was some crab at the market last night. It was the only thing he ate that Julie had none of and she's fine.  But beyond the bad belly, Steve is absolutely spent.  Is it the stomach problem or just the accumulated affect of weeks of non-stop global gallivanting?  Who cares.  Even after prying himself out of bed for a short walk he is useless, requesting the bed once again.  An afternoon stop at Toy's shop gets a little nutrition into him in the form of a mango smoothy and medicine in the form of some evil powdered Thai herbal stuff.  Then back to bed.  Julie heads out solo for a quick meal, but this is the sole non-day on the trip so far. Not bad if you think about how we've been carrying on!

Just zag instead of zig on this brief posting, here's a great song called the Beat Goes On by Beady Eye, the other Oasis splinter band. It was chosen for today because of this line;

And it's not the end of the world, oh no
It's not even the end of the day

We don't know if anyone is listening to the music links we've posted, but you'd be an Oasis (etc.) fan by now if you had been!

BTW, the ill effects of this stomach thing are extremely minimal, just a belly ache. No rushing for the exits as it were.

When I get sick on the road, It always amazes me how well prepared other people are... the ones who give me the meds I don't carry!

I had some god awful heat rash from the moto ride to the Vietnam border and someone on remote Lazy Beach came to my aid. I'd never think to carry heat rash medicine for a trip. Thankfully you manage to befriend the right people.
