After feeling rough I managed to get back to Bangkok and yep once again it is sooo hot. My aim for the 1.5 days that I am here is to stay as cool as possible, try to get myself in better health and prepare for the next leg of my trip. So in good old Steph style I head to a shopping mall. Buying winter clothes in 35 degree heat is strange. There is nothing in Bangkok that I still want to see so it is just about getting myself ready for New Zealand.

However, I thought I would take this opportunity to round up the past 3 months of my trip. Firstly, time has flown by. I remember Sarah and myself in our beds with the electric blankets on in Jiuzhaigou, China and Sarah saying, will the time speed up. Well even she has to say it did. I look back on past countries like China and now I am so pleased I went there as it is so beautiful and the people are a distant memory. I have not been able to beat the beach of Boracay, Philippines. The best food was Indonesia and an all round amazing country. For me coming back to Thailand and seeing the north and going into Laos and completing the Indochina loop, that I started 3 years ago was so worth it as they are beautiful parts of the world. I am so pleased I was convinced to come here, yet gutted that I didn't managed to meet up with the person who inspired me to come here, even if he did see me.

Although, I have already been to KL, Malaysia and Bangkok, Thailand, revisiting these cities has given me a new outlook and created new memories revisiting these places. I have now nearly visited every country, let alone every country that I want to visit in Asia. However, there are still 3 places that will go onto my Bucket List to visit (in the future Mum, because I will come back and get a job). They are; Nepal, Myanmar and Tibet. I love this part of the world. It maybe hot, busy and sometimes annoying but there are so many amazing places to go and wonderful people to meet.

This does however mean that I will now be saying good bye to Sarah. She will now spend 3 weeks doing a tour through Cambodia and Vietnam before going home. It has been amazing traveling with her the past 3 months and we went as friends but we leave as closer friends. I guess you cannot spend 3 months living side by side with each other and it either makes or breaks your friendship. Luckily for us it made it, although I did wonder how I would cope actually traveling with someone. Now I wonder what it will be like traveling alone. We certainly made this trip into a food lovers holiday...and I hope it will continue if she visits me later on.
