So I tested this thing called " parenting " out today. Ellie and Kev, had to go to the bank and so Noah and I geared up in this three wheeled stroller that looks pretty complicated, and headed for a quick walk. We went to 2 shoes stores and he sat there like a champ..no fussing at all....I then took him to the park and we swang, and slid down the slide and ran thru wood chips...with heels on....I was a bit dressed up..The North Face moms were looking at me like I was a diva mom....I kind of liked it
Well no new suitcase YET!! I did manage to do a bit of shopping in the Pearl district of Portland....I mean they don't have sales tax! More than shopping I was walking around in what was the old factory area. They have turned the buildings into these great shops and condos with lots of interesting peeps meandering around. I split from the family for a couple hours and wanderd by myslef even took a short rest in a mall...green space between buildings...DDA terms here now! I took some great pics and walked into and quickly out of some shops that seemed to think it was profitable to sell barely there skivees for over a hundred bucks...nope..thanks anyway.. I even managed to leave shoe stores WithOUT shoes...I mean I did buy 2 pairs in Seattle...*grin* So I met up the fam and we went to this great brewery called Rouge and had a sample fest! I had the best burger ever and needed a nap oh and some shoes other than the cuties I was wearing. Yikes...my dogs are barking now!!! We managed to continue walking for what seemed like miles to my feet and I have decided that the Mullet is back...YOu will not catch me sporting the do, but....(sorry, I just had a mental pic of me with a curly kentucky waterfall*barf*) others were rocking it hard core. I think that I may have seen joan jet and then a band member of White Snake...no autographs though! We wandered back to Whole foods and bought some million dollar water and was surprised by a man singing "Hound Dog" in full Elvis attire on the street corner...he even posed for a pic! We left there singing "blue Hawaii" tunes and went to the water front for pics. Oh and on our way back to Washington, we went over the same bridge twice..."oh look kids...there's Big Ben" I was in stitches and had to go BAD!!! Homeward bound and in need of a foot massage!
