The day of tours! I went to another seaside breakfast joint and again sipped coffee watching the boats come in...rough I know. The day was planned out that we were going to take an educational tour of the marketplace, so we met up with the group and were split with 10 others to be guided buy this very eccentric gay man and an older gentleman that had zero patience for the  flamboyant dude......there were times of sass and wrist flipping I nearly died....there was even a time were names were called.... "gee, antsy pantsy".  We found out that there is a huge political hierarchy for the market and that there is 8 businesses that hold the entire market.....there were no flying fish yet...but I will catch one! There are over 400 residences in the market place....more  coming on that. We then made out way to Top Pot donuts and I managed to eat a HUGE donut....and was feeling ill for hours after!! So good! My next tour was of West Seattle and it was unbelievable. First off, why is it that I always...always get paired off with some snotty know it all....doesn't she realized who I am? *grin* I did not get a word in edgewise and there were only 2 of us in the group....I just walked behind trying not to stare at the guides rear end eating her pants! Glad Mindy and Vicki enjoyed their tour....We then went around on the bus, took some great pics and checked out alki beach were the "first settlers" landed. More on this later too.
We made it back and what do you think were were pondering.....where to eat of course. My only saving grace is that I am walking insane amounts of blocks. Mindy being the darling that she is , took the bullet for us all and went to the Michigan dinner....the rest of us well....we had FUN! Nathan, Vicki and I went to the Crab Pot. This is a place where we sit at a tale with paper as the cloth and roll of paper towel and a pile of crab, mussels, clams and corn/ potatoes on the table and we EAT WITH OUR HANDS!!! I loved it, especially when the waiter who was a former member of Flock of Seagulls I am sure, swished his hair to the side and talked with the 80's flare....Wake me up before you gogo!! Vicki managed to stab herself with the crab claw and I nearly got shot in the head with crab shell that was flying off the next table of crazy Asian men with mallets....I mean how much fun is that? We left there to go meet Mindy and Brad (who was text messaging me about how he wanted to poke his eyes out) at Dahlia s's this place for dessert...Vicki was attacked by a cement monster and nearly bit it outside the market. At Dahlia's this newly engaged couple were having dinner with "his parents" and the bride to be was hammered......needless to say their conversation, we nothing that I would have talked about, but we sure enjoyed it!! We left there full as heck and headed to a Von's Pub which has taps all over the walls and the wheel of drinks, of which Nathan (post 1 foo-foo drink) spun to the next special. He did however have sticky hands and washed them in his glass of water....we laughed so much we cried! More to come later...I will upload pics when I get a chance!
