Good morning,
Well I have yet to get totally acclimated to the time here> I am ready for bed at 7:30 and up at 5:30. Oh well, the coconut coffee and Today show great me with a smile. I actually woke up this morning with it raining and warnings of flash floods here on Oahu. No worries grandma, I am at a high enough elevation that I will not be swept away! Mr. Leki on the Aloha station says that the low front is almost thought the island and the sun is coming soon. Geez, I hope so, I am getting more pale every day *wink*. More to come as the day progresses!
..Picture this, it is eleven and not only has it been raining all day, but Amiee had to turn around and come home because the roads to certain parts of the island were closed due to "flash floods". I know it gives me the warm and fuzzies too! So I am reading on the chase lounge (muffy) and the sun comes out. I get this idea that I need to make due while the sun is shining. So I head out for a nice walk. Yeah I get about 3 miles into it and the big clouds come back and I am in a nice little down pour. Me being brilliant, thought that running would be ideal and quick..not so much..I think that it may have taken me longer that way from all the huffing and puffing. Hot! So I manage to get back and decide that you all would like some pictures..so I literally stand my the door waiting for the rain to stop long enough to get some pix. These are gonna have to due until this weekend, when the real exploring continues! With all the rain and the busy weekend to come, Amiee and I stayed in last night and did pedicures, put masks on to prep our skin for the weekend o' sun and drank red wine out of mini bottles with straws~ are you jealous yet?
