So after much ado (about basically nothing) we are here in Vienna. We wont get into the details of the hold up, the important thing is we're here !

Today was a rainy day in Vienna, not such a hot day for walking around and sightseeing, but we made the most of it. I listened to the Billy Joel song as we rode in on the bus. The hostel we are staying at (The Ruthemstiener) is nice and clean and the bed is better than my bed at Swansea. I desperatley need some waterproof shoes here. So far in Swansea I've been able to work it out, but walking around all day in my soaked shoes was no fun.

Today in Vienna we saw Parliment, the Burgtheater, Hofburg, Muesemsquaiter, the National Library andd I ate wienerschnitzel! Lots of pictures coming at a later date! Hopefully tommorrow I'll try some apple strudel here too!

Its almost midnight here now, and we are getting up at 7:30 to get an early start before heading to Bratislava.

Hopefully I'll find a good pair of jeans there and maybe a few other things (galoshes?!) to get while the USD is at a better value than the local currency!
