tonight was really nice. settled in now and i promise pictures soon. two days in a row i've got without taking any photos! a new record i think. (britt told me its what normal people do. )

so by and large, i've still mostly met americans. we're all kind of disapointed about that, but in a way that makes it better because we are all of the same mindset with our eagerness to meet new people. we've got a week until classes so they wont be a bad bunch to hang out with until then. tonight we hung around the apartment playing cards and talking. its nice getting to know people and finding people who like the things you do and who seem like people you could be friends with. its nice to be at the beginning.

And its nice at the end of the night to come back and find messages waiting for you from friends at home. it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

i'm headed up toward the future with solid roots below. i'm stretching and growing but without forgetting where i'm from.
