Howdy all!

Sorry I havent written an update in a while, its been pretty hectic. At the moment Im in Yangshuo in Southern China and this part of the trip has completely made the China experience for me. I love it here, the scenery is so amazing, photos just dont do it justice :( Speaking of photos, Im still having a nightmare trying to upload mine so sorry again!!

So anyway, what have we been up to........ Well, weve basically been travelling our way through China. The last time I wrote I think we were in Xi'an. We went to see the Terracotta Warriors which was quite cool but a bit strange to see them for real after seeing so many pictures! Plus, a whole load of them have been shipped to London to go on display. The irony....

We also went to Shanghai which was very cool and SO much like NY its untrue. There's even a Chrysler style building!! I liked it a lot there, we went up the Pearl TV tower and did all the essential touristy bits. Then we got ANOTHER overnight train to Guillin and then bussed it to Yangshuo. Im starting to really enjoy those train journeys, especially the last one where I was the only person in a compartment with a whole load of random Chinese people!! It's a good thing there are good people in my group who make the ride much more enjoyable!! :)

But anyway, Yangshuo.....on Monday we went to some caves and dived into mudbaths which was so so so much fun!! (And also a VERY good hangover cure!!) A bit later that day we went on a boat down the river which was so pretty. I held this huge water-bird the fishermen use to catch fish. Yesterday we went to a light show which was.......erm........well, a bit weird actually and kind of how I would imagine things would look if I were on drugs!! I liked it though. Today we went for a bike ride (yes, I was ACTUALLY on a bike, although I did fall off once and was at the back of the pack for the WHOLE day!!) but the best part was whenever we got to a lake we dive in!! Only me and Carlien did at first and it was one of the most amazing things ever - no-one around, beautiful countryside and great big mountains in the distance, cool refreshing waterfalls, and water-buffalo drinking at the edges!! Absolutely brilliant!!

Have had a few good nights out now as well which are always fun too and managed to meet up with a few people from our old tour group the other night which was awesome :) Am still enjoying the Chinese food which is a surprise and havent been to any Mickey Ds recently either!! :)

Tomorrow we are moving on again to go to Longji to see the Rice Terraces, and after that we will be heading to Hong Kong which is very exciting!! I'll hopefully be able to see Hayley there which makes me very very happy!! Then after that we will have to say good bye to this group which again I'm not looking forward to at all! :( But then a new type of adventure will begin as me and Carlien will be by ourselves and flying to Bangkok!! Yay!!

Anyway I better be off! Will try and write something again soon. Still missing everyone loads, especially Lisa, Laura and Ryan. Wish you guys were here. LOVING the new Ryan pictures too. Hope everything is good in England and the weather is nice (insert evil chuckle). I got a bit sunburnt today (hehe)!!

Miss you all, loads of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
