Last night we sat downstairs in the courtyard and met three great guys (Calvin, Andy and Dave) who just would not let me buy any drinks, do we look that poor already? Not wanting to complain we took up their offer and had a drink with them. We then all stumbled over the road together to Zula, a club. This is one cool place, nobody stops dancing, ever! You walk in and you start dancing and you don't stop until you leave, even at the bar. I think the guy stood next to me having a piss, was dancing (messy). It was rather tiring but we soldiered on. I have no idea when we left but this was where it all started to go wrong.

On arrival back at the hostel we went straight to bed and woke up with two almighty hangovers, hell-bent on ruining our day. But, we got up (late) and took a taxi to Table Mountain, there were lovely clear skies. Our taxi driver, though very nice, clearly didn't have any regard for his passengers safety. He had removed the seatbelts, except his, perhaps to reduce weight as this taxi did not climb hills well, great news as we were travelling up a big hill, the smell of burning clutch all the way up was delightful. Amazingly, we arrived at the foot of the mountain at the cable car station, which had a two hour queue. I guess I had been too busy holding on for dear life in the taxi to notice Charlotte turn green.

We got in another seatbeltless taxi who charged us R10 extra as he didn't like driving downhill (he actually said that). I wasn't too mad at Charlotte, the cable cars revolve as they climb the mountain and I wouldn't wish that on anyone with a green face. We'll go again, fingers crossed for clear skies.
