On his return I have gotten up and am having breakfast with Ben, Nik, Lee and Alex, our little group that we have formed on the Kiwi bus. We all head out to the Te papa museum which has lots of different exhibits, we didn't manage to see them all. After this we stop off at McDonalds for a snack on our way to get the cable car/train up the hill in the city into the Botanical Gardens. We start wondering round the different gardens but come across a children's play park. We all decided that here would be a good place to stop for a bit. Fun was had by all and Rob fell over flat on his face! We walked around some more of the gardens then back to the city centre only getting a little lost from Ben's poor sense of direction.
A quick stop at the supermarket to get supplies for the next day then we realise we're running a bit late for our Bowling booking at 8pm. The hotel bar has a meal deal on on Mondays so we think this could be a good plan and head there for dinner and then on to Bowling.
It certainly was an interesting game with many tips for Alex as it turned out this was something (among a few other things we had discovered) that she really wasn't very good at. Rob thought 130 was a score good enough to win but Lee managed a strike in the last go to get him up to 138, Nik got two strikes and a 9 on her last go to score 137. I got a reasonable 105 and Alex was rubbish scoring a total for the two games of 98!
All in all, a good day, fun had by all!
