Well, what a month it has been. Left the B&B I was working at this morning. Caught the crappy bus outta there at 8:30am. Thank the Lord. Finally out of there. That was not a fun month. I hadn't been enjoying it for a while now. I gave it a few weeks and then decided to go. As Easter was one of their busiest times with the restaurant, I stayed almost two weeks after I gave my notice even though I could have packed up and took off whenever I felt like it. The B&B was just out in the middle of nowhere and I was working almost all day doing mindless work that I wasn't enjoying. And now I know I was never a waitress in my past life, and have no plans to ever try again. There are just some things that people can't and should not be and waitressing is one of them. THank god! I didn't suck, I just didn't like it.
I mean eating in Canada is nothing like over here. You try remembering how to set starter, main, desert cutlery, red wine glasses, white wine glasses, water glasses, opening wine properly, water jugs, bread/butter but only with soup or if they ask, steak knives, sauces, take away starter cutlery if they don't order starters, and then drinks on top of that when you have never working in a bar before and are not really taught anything!!! I could go on but I'll save you... Pretentious people, idiot drunken locals, and an alcoholic boss. Yippee.
Anyways, it was an experience and I will never venture out in that direction ever again.

So I am off to Glasgow for a few days again. Hopefully check out some sights and get back to civilization again. Just a bus, a ferry, and a train ride away...
