Alrighty. Sorry it's taken so long to get my act together. But finally got hold of the all mighty internet that I've been missing as of late. Emailing friends and what not.

So I am in Banff. Thinking about this yesterday, I think most of the family I have pretty much all been out here before so it seems a little wierd to write about it, but why not right? Call it a hobby.

So the parents left me here last week on Saturday? I guess I am feeling a bit better about things now. I am working at a resort in town doing office related things. Reservations. It takes me a little while to get comfortable with a new job and get the hang of things, but I think it will be fine. Doing well so far, there's just so so much to learn. I like a challenge though Banff Springs Hotel
Banff Springs Hotel
. I'm living in staff accommodation at the resort itself. Little bit nuts with all the teens away from home for the first time and all that jazz (this is making me sound really old and cranky isn't it?). Quite noisy most of the time, but whatever. If two years in Europe couldn't prepare me for living in dorms again then there would be absolutely no hope for me. I only share a room with one other girl so it's good.  Working a 9-5 job or rather will be 10-7 and two days off in a row. Quite run of the mill but should be a good place to save up some money for whatever I think to do next. (I don't know what I am doing next, please don't ask me!)

Banff is pretty great. I wake up in the mornings surrounded by mountains that look absolutely stunning covered in snow with the morning sun shining on their peaks. I've been trying to pick my favourite mountain of the ones that surround Banff but I am stuck on two. Cascade and Rundle. I can see Rundle from my bedroom window. It's so gorgeous. It sits there so strong and wise. Like it's been there the longest and knows all the secrets of everything it towers over. Then there's Cascade which I can see from the huge window at the resort. It's always got it's peak shrouded with clouds, but when it's clear it is amazing. To me it's the opposite of Rundle. Like the rebel of the group. Throwing caution to the wind. Bold, strong, powerful, but you respect it Bow River
Bow River
. You respect everything out here I think. At least I do. I even fear this place and what it's capable. It's so vast and empty. Wild and rugged. It's like the ocean where you can look out for miles and see just more and more of the same thing. Never ending. That scares the crap out of me and I would not want to be lost in either the mountains or the sea.

Town is pretty quiet at the moment. Not too too many tourists, though this weekend should be hectic with Easter. No special plans here. It's the third Easter in a row I've been away from home. Crazy! Though I do miss family, my room which I was only in for about a month and a half, and the familiarness of Winnipeg, I have to say lately I have been more "home" sick for Europe. If I had the choice I think I would be back there. Life hey?

I should header anyways. Gonna chill out and watch tv back at my room tonight and read some books.

Can't wait for the snow to melt here so the hiking trails are better. Hope everyone has a great Easter. Wish I could be there with you. Take care for now!!
