I've only been home now for about a month and a half since being away for two years. It's been a tough decision, and I had many a sleepless nights trying to decide what to do and where to do it. I applied for about a dozen jobs a few days after I got back from Scotland. I had an interview right away for a job at a resort in Banff and then agonized over whether or not I should take it should I get offered the position. Back and forth for a week. It seemed so soon and I hadn't seen ANYONE yet, so when I did get offered the position a week later, I initially turned it down. I thought I would need to start too soon and I wanted to see my family.
A day or two later, the position was advertised again, and I wondered if I had made the wrong decision. Had I offered to start a little bit later, would I have still got the job?? Ahhh, I make myself CRAZY sometimes!! A few more pained days and I ended up calling back to see if they would still be interested in hiring me for the job. In the end they were and I got the job....again.

You know when you are making the right decision, and I felt good about it all after that.
So then started seeing the family. Had a nice visit with the grandparents this past week. Improved my pool game with grandpa Rodney, and still lost...repeatedly. Aunt Lorinda was over for dinner last night. Picked up the other grandparents Joe and Bernice from the airport on their way back from Victoria a few nights ago. Going to Brandon tomorrow to see aunt Sandra, uncle Lester maybe, and cousin Samuel. Having lunch with mom at a french place in St. Boniface on Friday. Might go watch dad's curling games tomorrow night after we get back from Brandon. Dinner on Sunday night with the grandparents Joe and Bernice and uncle Ernie. Catch up with cousin David on Saturday night. And if all that was a lil' bit mixed up is because that's just the order it all popped into my head in. I don't know what's up. I have to ask mom what we are doing from one day to the next. It's quick, but I am getting to see almost everyone even though I am leaving so soon. It's good seeing them again.

I was asked if I was doing another travelogue for this trip, so I figured why not. I missed logging on from new places every few days and writing. I will be working full time, but hopefully I'll be able to write some good stuff about Banff itself, some of the sights, and whatever else I get up to. I absolutely love it out there in the middle of the gorgeous mountains and wilderness, so it should be a great summer.

Right now I am just getting some of my pics from Europe onto the computer to make CD's for everyone. 32 photo CD's in 2 years is NUTS! And a little time consuming too. Got my camera  fixed because is brokedown in Amsterdam so it's all good to go. Still got some currency to exchange as there is only 1 place in the whole city in which I can do that. Shocking I know! Loading up some tunes to take with me, a little bit of a mess still in my room to clean up, but it all gets done eventually. Should start packing on Monday and should be good to finish up around noon on Tuesday with the parents yelling at me to go about a minute before we hit the road as usual.

It's been good to be home, have a room, watch tv, but I've been a bit lazy and I will be glad to be working and savin money again. Winnipeg is cold, wet, snowy, blowy, and always dirty at this time of year. Crap to look at but should be nice soon once the snow is all gone and the rain washes the place up a bit. Too bad I am missing the summer here, but you can't be everywhere all the time now can you?

Got to be up in a few hours to leave, so apparently now is the time to sleep.

P.S. I reread this whole entry for spelling mistakes because everyone LOVES to point out that I never read over anything I write and how I always have spelling mistakes (thanks!), so there you go.

Night from Winnipeg!
