A couple of cool facts about Grey Whales that we learned:
- Grey Whales do not sleep like humans do. They go into a short state of sleep by shutting down just half of their brain, while staying awake enough to surface to breath.
- The only natural predator of Grey Whales is the Killer Whale.
- Grey Whales eat tiny animals from the sea floor
- Grey Whales are assumed to have a lifespan of around 70-80 years, however one whale found off the California coast had a piece of harpoon in it's flesh from a piece of equipment that has not been used in 120 years.

Unfortunately the videos are not nearly as cool as being there in person, but I hope you enjoy them either way.
