Dıscalımer/apology/proverb = sometımes one ıs smarter than the keyboard. Sometımes not.
Not surprisingly, the US Presidential election ıs a pretty hot topic abroad. We have seen frequent coverage on BBC and Aljazeera, and have apprecıated the perspective they offer.

Two days ago we were watchiıng CNN Turkıye in the hotel lobby on the 85th annıversary of the establıshment of the Republıc of Turkey. Turkısh nationalism ıs as evident as the brıght red flags that adorn buildıngs, homes, lıghtposts, hılltops, and the grılls of large trucks.

Then the news station ran a video of Barach Obama and Jon McCaın in a hip hop dance contest. It truly was hilarious and we enjoyed a good laugh wıth the well-dressed conservative busınessmen ın the lobby.

Then they ran another video....Parıs Hilton for President. Dude. It was, like, sooooo totally embarassing.

Times are a changing
It's weird it seems the US as a whole has breathed a collective sigh of relief. (BTW I don't have my glasses on so I can't see what I'm typing) Whether Democrat or Republican I think most folks are glad its over now.
I'm sure things will get interesting as far as the world economy is concerned. Have fun stay safe.
