We arrived in Pattaya around 5 pm and got ourselves a taxivan to Jomtien together with a Danish guy and a couple of Italians. It felt real good to be back at our little apartment. We quickly arranged our stuff, brought al the dirty clothes to the laundry downstairs, did some vacuuming, had a shower, did some shopping for tomorrow's breakfast and went for a pizza at Nicola's ! Organisation muss sein ! :-) we loved the pizza after two and a half months of non-Italian food, went back, had a cup of tea and watched a few episodes of u and than our eyes (especially mine) started to close !

Got up after a great sleep, we love our bed, it's great !! Had breakfast , a shower and than I went to rent our scooter for the next 3 weeks around the corner. One's done that we went into town at Central, the big shopping centre with supermarket where you can get just about everything for us "Farangs". We got back, had something to nibble and went down to the swimming pool where of course we found part of the Dutch connection :-). That was fun, we had to explain all about our trip, where, what and how. We stayed there until 5:30 pm, than Andrea went up to make some fantastic spaghetti !!!!! Yessss, finally !
We stayed in and had a quite night which was cool.

After breakfast and some things we had to do we went to our sports club for some sweating and pain but after more than a month of practically no heavy exercise we needed to get back in shape. After an hour and a half of this we had enough and I had no more liquid left in my body so we went back to have our shower and a swim. We had a big bowl of Miauw's soup and than relaxed and talked our way through the afternoon until 5 when Andrea went for a massage and I went up. In the evening we went to the little Jomtien market where we ate a big fish with a papaya salad, great ! Than we walked around a bit and had a drink at Dick's around the corner where we met some Belgians from Deurne. Than we went back at watched some tv.

12th and 13th
The days seem to go so fast, we're enjoying the usual things we do here now, going to the pool, talking to all the people that we know having our lunch and/or lunches in different places we haven't tried before and off course the shopping and going to the gym.

14th St. Valentines day
I got Andrea a new protective sleeve cover for her Iphone (in pink off course :-) as her old one looked a mess and she liked it.
Andrea got me a ticket to go to the tiger zoo/park where we went in the afternoon. It was great, when we arrived we thougt it was going to be a disaster as it rained like it can only rain in tropical countries but after an hour it cleared up totally. We were able to give a bottle of milk to a tiger cub on our lap and that was lovely. The only tigers that we were allowed to touch were the cubs, the others (around 60 I think) were in huge closed surroundings. There was a tiger show, a crocodile show and an elephant show where Andrea volunteered when they asked for a lady. The elephant touched her with his foot while she was lying flat, pretty exciting !
Anyway we had a great afternoon and in the evening we went for dinner at Nathan's, a nice restaurant near run by a Frenchman which is really good.

15th and 16th
We had a few things we wanted to take care of in the Bangkok Hospital of Pattaya so we thought we'd make a few appointments but as often the case here we could get helped straight away which is so great. Off course it took some time between so we actually had time to eat outside at the back where there was a little market (so a Thai :-) . Anyway we had to come back next week for results.
We went to a few shops to check where we could buy an air mattress in case we needed one. We finally found one at the Homepro part of Big C middle road ! We also went to buy a ceiling ventilator as we thought it would be a good idea instead of the airco at night. We'll try to get Mr Xu to install it while we're in Koh Chang ...

17th and 18th
As we're not allowed to swim for a week we try to avoid staying in the sun so we find a lot of things to do. We're extremely relaxed and enjoy ourselves.

We had wanted to go to Bangkok before but because of the trouble and manifestations we thought it was to risky. Now we thought it was a good moment to go so we got our tickets and left at 9:30. As usual these companies never leave before all seats were taken so we drove around Pattaya for almost an hour to pick up more people from different pick up spots.

Hoi Andrea,

Jij wordt nog een echte stuntvrouw! Die olifant lijkt zo megagroot, denk toch dat Stefano er niet helemaal gerust in was :-).
