I write this one as we wait for our flight to las vegas.

Chicago is a really cool city. After the hellish over-night 12 hour train journey we finally arrived in the windy city (its called that for pollitical rather than weather reasons) at about 10 am "the other day". So we're now on central time and not eastern, another hour behind the uk. After checking into the worst hostel yet we headed downtown for a look about. All these cities seems the same but different. The highlight of Thursday was a trip to the top of the 3rd highest building in the world, tallest in America and indeed the northern hemesphere. We took the lift (i didnt really fancy walking) up to the observation deck on floor 103 of the Sears tower. I am priveledged enough to make the claim that I had the highest dump of my life so far and probably wont get the chance to poo that high up ever again!
The view from the top is obvioulsy spectacular and it was quite strange looking down at all the sky scrapers and not up?! once again I got a bit snap happy. [when i get the chance, ie more than a couple of hours in any one place i'll up-load some of the photos]
After a few beers and an early night we awoke in the dorm to the smell of 8 mens' all night farting and promptly left the hostel in search of something to do. Chicago has loads to offer but the problem we have is lack of time and funds to do everything I'd like. So we went to a ball game! By the 7th of 9 innings I think I was understanding the rules of the strange sport, one of the batters slogged the ball so hard it plumetted into the crowd and all the exited fans dived on the ball, aparently they can sell for a fortune on ebay. Anyway that lead to the guy getting an automatic rounder, otherwise known as a home run. Unfortunatley for the home fans the Chicago cubs lost 6-5 to the Atlanta Braves but it was a close game and a good time was had by all. I lost count of the number of time the venders came round selling hot-dogs, peanuts, beer, pizzas, pretzles and pretty much any food you could think of. I reckon most of the people there are more interested in the food than the game, but that the U S of A for ya!
After the game we drank mucho cerveza with the rest of the grieving sportsfans and to cut a long story short myself and Carl got spilt up and I ended up sleeping on the couch in the reception area of the hostel because someone had been sleeping in my bed...
So our flight to Vegas leaves in about 45 minutes, this destination could make or break the holiday, we're told that everything you hear about Vegas is true but don't worry, I will up date you with my personal account...
