After spending a few days sweating, we needed our weekly mountain retreat. Telaran was a neat little town nestled in the mountains with a refreshing cool breeze. We ate a fantastic, if not expensive, dinner here with an unbelievably nice owner who lived in North Carolina. He also served a mean sweet tea, which was shocking to find in Central America. That night, we slept near the police station. Unfortunately it was located on a hill, which drastically affected our sleep. We constantly woke up to reorient ourselves since we were sliding off the bed.
